Exploring The Human Ego: Distorted Truth, Freedom & The Mind

Perception of Security Ego Polarity Destroys Truth

The ego is an inherent aspect of human nature.

When EGO operates in extreme polarity: Dysfunction Breeds

By Polarity I mean: When the ego operates in its most exaggerated and distorted form.

When a person is utterly controlled and consumed by thoughts of themselves - their image, desires, needs, and wants - to the point that concern for others falls away.

Ego can distort and manipulate the truth, leading to abuses of power and distortion of reality.

I am speaking of an impulse born out of our need for self-will, a manifestation of the fall, of separation.

When unchecked, when we succumb utterly to its seductive whisper, it grows monstrous.

Ego inflates ambition to the point of greed, marshaling flimsy justifications to satisfy lusts. Desires for dominance and control increase and multiply, blinding us to the humanity of others, reducing them to bits on a gameboard to be manipulated for our needs and wants.

Truth becomes whatever supports our agenda, as all nuance and complexity fall away from importance.

— Polarity distorts the concept of Truth

A Truth with a capital 'T'

The underlying reality is beyond our limited human perceptions.

An inflated ego consumed with itself loses the ability to See with clarity and objectivity.

It filters all information through the lens of "what supports me? what feeds my needs and desires?"

Truth becomes a malleable thing, something to be shaped and manipulated to serve the ego's aims.

Yet Truth isn't malleable; we are just under a spell; in utter darkness, thinking were in the Light.

As Scripture says, "How great that darkness is."

When Ego polarizes nuance and complexity fall away, as does concern for any perspective beyond one's own.

Without Nuance life is meaningless and mundane.

Facts are cherry-picked, contexts distorted, all to prop up the ego's distorted view of itself and its place in the world.

— It denies the existence of Freedom
— Unstable Polarity correlates with the Mind's perception of security

The nature of Polarity manifests in its ability to twist and contort Truth, distorting it into a web of deceitful notions and fractured falsehoods. In doing so, it obstructs the illusory sense of Freedom that the self seeks, aligning itself with the Mind's concept of security and thus contributing to a precarious and unsteady existence.

The Illusion of Human Security: Examining the Ineffectiveness of Small-scale Measures and the Role of Individual Contributions in the Larger System

— Human security is unattainable and illusory.
— Security lacks practicality and purpose on a small scale.
— Chasing security doesn't benefit the larger system.
— The larger system doesn't need external security measures.
— Individual contributions shape the overall functioning.

Childhood Traumas: The Struggle for Freedom and the Illusion of Security

Security is an illusion that humans cannot truly achieve. It is a fantastical concept that lacks practicality and fails to provide any meaningful function on a small scale. The pursuit of security does not serve the greater whole, as the larger system does not require external security measures. Instead, the individual aspects of the system contribute to the overall functioning of the entire.

— Childhood traumas form a polar prison of false security.
— The pursuit of freedom challenges this illusory security.
— The struggle between security and freedom shapes individuals.
— This shaping process begins in childhood and lasts until the end of life.
— The impact of this struggle is long-lasting.

Freedom presents a formidable challenge to the perceived security found within the boundaries of a polar prison. This prison takes root in the formative years of a curious and innocent child, as they encounter early traumas and rejections that shape their very essence. The illusion of security, born from these experiences, endures throughout the journey from childhood to adulthood and accompanies individuals until their final breath, casting a lasting shadow over their lives.

The Impact of Trauma on Identity and the Cycle of Defense

Every traumatic experience creates a crack in the unbreakable Truth of one's identity. The subjective belief of superiority drives individuals to fiercely defend aspects that serve no purpose, often without understanding their origin. By resisting these aspects, they inadvertently perpetuate their existence.

When I wholeheartedly embrace the inherent nature of human suffering and acknowledge its indispensable role, allowing its presence without resistance, I effortlessly detach from conflicting energies and immerse myself in a remarkable state of absolute resilience, where genuine metamorphosis unfolds.

Through the countless inquiries that permeate my being, I have come to realize the profound truth that I am devoid of knowledge. In the collision with this profound understanding of “knowing nothing,” I have forged a connection to immense wisdom that transcends my personal endeavors in understanding or capacity. The profound wisdom of nothingness engenders a profound realization that, albeit fleetingly, grants me a profound acceptance of the entirety of existence.
